Popular Nigerian cross dresser,ldris Okuneye,popularly known as Bobrisky is in the news again.He was arrested around Lekki in Lagos, by a team of policemen from the Operatives of the Inspector General Police (IG), Monitoring Unit,Abuja,over an alleged money fraud issue made against him by an Abuja based woman.
Several months back,Bobrisky has been detained by the police over a disagreement he had with an Abuja-based public official,but he was later released.
On this second arrest, it was gathered that the policemen had made their mission known to the Lagos State Police Command before proceeding.
Though the reason for this arrest was not clear,but sources are alleging that it may be connected to the controversial cross dresser recent altarcation with a Nigerian woman in diaspora over sales and sponsorship for artificial eyelash brand.
It was gathered the policemen first took Bobrisky to a police station on the island, where he was allegedly detained for a while and later granted bail.
Police, DCP Frank Mba,confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest,saying the complainant had petitioned the police, alleging that the cross dresser defrauded her of about N30m.She accused Bobrisky of collecting N30m from her for sales, but did not keep to the end of the deal.Mba said that,
“Bobrisky was granted bail but the case is still an active one. It is a case under investigation,”.
