By Glam & Essence

A Court of Appeal sitting in the Federal Capital Territory has lifted the movement restriction on presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore.
The movement of the human rights activist and convener of Revolution Now was In 2019,restricted to Abuja by a federal high court following charges of treasonable felony, cyberstalking the President Muhammadu Buhari, among other offences.
The Appeal Court in its ruling on Wednesday noted that the restriction of the 2023 presidential aspirant to Abuja was “excessive”, and therefore, lifted it .
Recall that operatives of the Department of State Service arrested Sowore in a Lagos hotel on August 3, 2019, for planning to organise a protest, tagged “#RevolutionNow”.
He was subsequently restricted to Abuja as part of the bail conditions granted to him by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.
As a result of this new verdict ,Sowore can now move around Nigeria, but he cannot travel outside of Nigeria.
