Following the directive of the President to all officials in his government interested in vying for an elective office to resign, Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has finally resigned his position, in a bid to work towards achieving his 2023 presidential ambition.
It was gathered that he tendered his resignation letter today in obedience to the directive.
He announced today that he will no longer be serving as minister under Buhari.
Meanwhile,some of his colleagues like the Labour Minister, Chris Ngige and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami,who had earlier made their intention to run for election in 2023 have since withdrawn their intention and chosen to retain their portfolios in Buhari’s government.
